The Vereniging Gurung Samaj Nederland (GSN) is a non-profit association established, informally, on 1st March 2009 in Amsterdam. The association has been later registered formally under the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) on 18 August 2009.

The primary objectives of GSN are to:

- Maintain, preserve and promote Gurung culture, tradition as well as its language and literature.

- Provide a platform for the Gurung people living in the Netherlands and to help them to integrate into Dutch society

- Support training and educational projects for Gurung communities in Nepal.

- Provide financial assistance in case of emergencies such as natural disaster.
